"A King's Radiance", Luke Schulz | Opinião

Olá, sussurros! Hello, whispers!

Personal note: I have to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to be in his ARC Team and read this adventurous book ahead of time.

I really, really, enjoyed this book.

Luke Schulz wrote a well structured story, with three main point of views, which helps the reader to follow the narrative in various moments in time and places, colliding at some point, given the relationship the three main characters have.

We mainly follow the story of Raiz and his struggles and the way the past of his father and mother impacted his decisions, not only as a child but as an adult as well.

However, we also follow Isha and her strength of never giving up to free herself. And Dazen, an heir to a throne that has many secrets.

Between Veil, Puk, Draz, Echo, Sumaya, Obeyun, Ahora, and many other characters we get to know as we read, this book has a variety of powers and personalities that collide, others that compliment themselves, giving colour to the narrative as well as emotion.

The descriptions are many, most likely because of the various POV, places we visit, and powers or physical details, with some twists and turns that leave the reader hanging for more.

At the end of the story, we are left with some questions to be answered in a second book, which I am very curious about.

Favourite quote: "Evil comes in many forms. There are some who might call you so, yes. But there are many who might call you hero, too. The lines are always blurred when it comes to right and wrong."

Until next time!

Your whisperer...
